Start with the manufacturing load
Choosing between a tablet and a capsule is not only a visual decision. Total ingredient volume, flow behavior, target serving, excipient needs and packaging goals are evaluated together. The manufacturable form sits where the product brief meets process requirements.
When does a tablet stand out?
Tablets are a strong option when blend compressibility, homogeneity and target geometry are suitable. Hardness, surface, disintegration and packaging fit are reviewed together during sampling. A high ingredient load does not always mean one tablet; serving design and tablet size must be balanced.
When is a capsule more flexible?
Capsule filling can offer a more direct development path for powders and granules with suitable flow. Capsule size, fill weight, shell choice and moisture behavior are handled within one technical frame. The final decision depends on market, use format and packaging as much as on the ingredient structure.
